BIG RELEASE! BIG RELEASE! BIG RELEASE! I finally finished one of the biggest and most important features of heahy.com lately. Now you can follow users, channels and threads. In your homepage you will see 5 latest threads or posts of everything you follow. Even though this feature is very fresh and is in beta right now it should work fine, if something is not right please shoot PM to me or let me know right here in this thread. Since now heahy has a homepage with personal wall of followed posts there is no need to have #homepage channel and I will start moving threads to other channels (and create new ones if needed). As always any suggestion for improvements or features for heahy is always welcome. After I finalize follow functionality another exciting feature is waiting :)

*Early release of a new heahy.com feature* You can now manage and upload your own reaction library. Just go to the home page and open the Reactions tab. You can upload reactions for personal use or publish them for everyone. To save space and bandwidth, only MP4/WebM videos are allowed - but if you have a GIF, you can convert it directly in your browser. The same applies to images: only WebP is supported, with built-in conversion available. You can now manage and upload your own reaction library. Just go to the home page and open the Reactions tab. If you're publishing reactions for others, please use tools like Google Reverse Image Search to add as much context and relevant tags as possible so your content is easy to find. One reason I built this “last feature” is because I've personally collected a lot of reactions and needed a better way to organize them. Reactions are a core part of internet culture, and having full control over them can be a real advantage. There's also the issue of Tenor potentially shutting down, and the alternatives are either uncertain or not great. Long-term, there's potential for heahy to offer an API and become one of those alternatives. That said, the reactions feature is still raw and largely untested. I'm releasing it early so people can try it out. Over the next few days, I'll be fixing bugs, filling in missing features, and integrating it into heahy's posting flow. Depending on feedback, an API might follow. You might also notice a “Tip” button - yes, that's intentional. Supporting content creators is part of the long-term plan, and reactions will likely be one of the first areas to get it. If you publish early, there's a chance it could pay off later. Anyway, give it a try - upload your own reactions, save favorites, or publish something for everyone to use.

I have some news regarding NSFW content on heahy.com. Currently, Heahy lacks key moderation features, so starting now, all NSFW uploads by non-owners to any channel will be put on hold. This is a temporary measure, and it may change once I implement NSFW content marking, reporting functionality, and finish the mobile apps. I'm starting work on all of these right now. The main reason for this decision is that I can't - and don't want to - manually review every new NSFW upload. Most channels are already abandoned, so there's no first-line moderation at all. The #porn channel is probably the only one still active, but even it will be temporarily paused for new uploads. Once moderation features are in place, this restriction might be relaxed. However, I can't guarantee anything yet. NSFW content also consumes a significant amount of disk space and bandwidth. On top of that, I need to develop and get mobile apps approved in app stores, which could be a roadblock for allowing NSFW content. I'm sorry this had to be done, but hopefully it will be reversed soon once we have better infrastructure for handling NSFW content.

*Your Personal Timeline.* This is a big change to how following users works on heahy. You can now only follow someone if they post specifically to their own timeline, which means random posts won’t appear in your feed. The update also lets anyone start posting and reposting immediately right from the feed. You don’t even need to create channels anymore. Your timeline is like your personal channel, where you can share your thoughts, post memes and media, repost content, and share links. Expressing yourself on heahy just got easier.

Hello, just quick update on some Heahy news and what I am working on. First of all in Discovery I added a new category - New channels. If you create your own and post some content there send me a message and I will add your channel there. You can also announce it in @random or @heahychat so people check it out. Another deal - if you post content consistently I might add your channel to followed by default for new users. Now what I am working on. 3 things are coming up: 1. Heahy's own reactions library - both personal favorites and publishing to everyone. 2. Chat match portal - find a friend to talk to directly. Create your own poster and match or be matched in 24 hours. 3. Android mobile app. Once all these are ready I will start a bit of promotion to try to find more users. Stay tuned!
